Mounting recommendations
When deploying the Room Bar Pro, consider the position of the video bar, screen(s), and the distance between people and the device. To get the best viewing angle, we recommend placing the video bar above the display, but not too high to avoid a top-down effect. When installing it under the screen, make sure the screen isn’t mounted too high so that proper ergonomics can be maintained for in-room participants.
Optimal views
When deploying the wall-mount model of the Board Pro 75 G2, we recommend following the mounting height indicated in the installation guide. This allows for an optimal camera point of view, and a natural posture for people in the room when using the device for video conferencing or whiteboarding.
Get the best audio experience
Enhance your audio experience with an acoustically absorbing suspended ceiling panel along with acoustical wall panels on adjoining walls. For rooms with parallel glass walls, use heavy curtains or special transparent acoustic panels. To dampen the sound of footsteps and moving chairs, we recommend carpeting on the floor.
Boost audio pickup
The video system features an internal microphone array optimized to capture voice from up to 4 meter (13 ft) from the devices which can be extended with two external Cisco Table Microphone Pro units over IP for directional speech pickup coverage. If the table is longer or the room features suboptimal acoustic conditions, consider adding more Cisco IP or alternative microphones.
Customize your deployment
The Board Pro G2 features multiple mounting options for walls or floors. When deploying the Room Bar Pro with external screens, you can mount the video bar to the screen or on the wall with a single mounting unit. For a clean setup without visible outlets or cabling, consider elevating the power and data outlets. The device also works with third-party mobile stands and AV credenzas.
Create the optimal design
High-quality furniture is essential for a successful meeting experience. We recommend a slightly slanted, tapered table shape where the widest edge nearest the screen, tapering toward the far end to ensure that everyone is visible on the camera and has a clear line of sight towards the screens. Alternatively, a triangle-shaped table is a perfect choice to support in-room dialogue while keeping a front-facing view for remote participants.
Get the perfect lighting
To ensure meeting participants look their best, they should be lit from the front (fill light), top (key light), and back (backlight). For optimal visibility, eye contact, subject highlighting, and scene depth, use glare-free luminaries with a beam angle of 90°or wider to evenly distribute light throughout the room.
Fine-tuning color
We recommend using a light intensity of 400-500 lux, measured vertically, to clearly capture facial features, and 700-900 lux for optimal brightness on horizontal work surfaces. Room lighting should be even, and a light color temperature of 4000 K is generally suitable for most scenarios. For accurate color representation of skin tones and interiors, use a color rendering index (CRI) of 85 or better.
